SIIMA 2023 Winners: Celebrating Excellence in South Indian Cinema

The second day of the prestigious South Indian International Awards (SIIMA) 2023 concluded on Saturday night, honoring some of the best works in Tamil and Malayalam cinema. The event was graced by the presence of renowned stars such as Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Mani Ratnam, Lokesh Kanagaraj, R Madhavan, Rajesh Madhavan, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Kunchacko Boban, who clinched top awards for their outstanding contributions to the film industry.

Tamil Cinema Triumphs

In the Tamil film industry, Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus “Ponniyin Selvan 1” claimed the coveted Best Film award. R Madhavan, known for his exceptional performance in “Rocketry,” secured the Best Actor in a Leading Role and the Best Director Debut awards. Kamal Haasan, an icon in Indian cinema, won the Popular Choice For Best Actor for his role in “Vikram,” while Trisha bagged the Popular Choice For Best Actress for her outstanding performance in “PS 1.” Lokesh Kanagaraj, the mastermind behind “Vikram,” was awarded the Best Director title.
