The wait is over for Class 8 students in Punjab. The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially released the Class 8 results for 2025, and students can now check their scores online.

Where and How to Check Your Result

To view the results, head over to the official website pseb.ac.in. You’ll need your roll number or name to log in. Here’s the step-by-step guide:

1. Go to pseb.ac.in
2. Click the ‘Results’ tab on the homepage
3. Look for the link titled “Middle Examination Result February 2025 AVAILABLE”
4. Enter your roll number and date of birth
5. Click on ‘Submit’ to view your scorecard
6. Download and print your result for future use

Alternatively, results can be accessed via SMS. Just type PB8 and send it to 5676750. The result will be delivered directly to your mobile.

Result Stats and Performance Highlights

This year, 2,90,471 students from 10,471 schools appeared for the Class 8 exams held between February 19 and March 7. Out of them, 2,82,627 passed, pushing the overall pass rate to 97.30%.

However, that’s a slight drop from last year’s impressive 98.31%. Among districts, Amritsar emerged as the top performer, clocking a stellar 98.85% pass rate.

Scorecard Details and Grading System

Make sure to double-check your scorecard for accuracy. It includes:

  • Student’s name
  • Roll number
  • Parent’s name
  • School name
  • Marks in each subject
  • Total score

The PSEB uses a grading system to categorize scores:

Grade Marks Range
A+ Above 90%
A 80% – 90%
B+ 70% – 80%
B 60% – 70%
C+ 50% – 60%
C 40% – 50%
D 33% – 40%
E Below 33%

Students who didn’t clear the exams can take the supplementary exam scheduled for June.
