Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan Faces Plagiarism Controversy

Shah Rukh Khan’s latest blockbuster, Jawan, has been dominating headlines and the box office since its release. The Atlee-directed film has garnered praise for its stellar cast, gripping plot, and top-notch action sequences. However, a viral post on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter) has sent shockwaves through the film industry. The post alleges that Atlee, the director of Jawan, has copied the plotline from the 1989 Tamil film Thaai Naadu, raising questions about the film’s originality.

The 1989 Tamil film Thaai Naadu, directed by R. Aravindraj and starring Sathyaraj in a double role, shares similarities with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, particularly in the portrayal of a father and son duo. This revelation has sparked debates among cinephiles and fans alike.

Atlee’s History of Plagiarism Accusations

Interestingly, this is not the first time Atlee has faced accusations of copying content for his films. In 2019, his movie Bigil came under scrutiny when Telugu short-filmmaker Nandi Chinni Reddy alleged that Atlee had plagiarized his work from the film Slum Soccer. Prior to that, one of Atlee’s 2017 releases also faced accusations of borrowing elements from Rajinikanth’s Moondru Mugam.

The Stellar Cast of Jawan

Jawan boasts an ensemble cast featuring some of the biggest names in the industry. Shah Rukh Khan leads the pack, supported by Nayanthara, Ridhi Dogra, and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Additionally, Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance in the film, adding to its star-studded lineup.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Gratitude

Earlier today, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his gratitude to fans on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter). He thanked them for their overwhelming love and support for Jawan, saying, “Thank you for all the love and appreciation for #Jawan!! Box Office Triumph
