The Department of Posts Concludes Online Applications for India Post GDS 2023 Positions

The Department of Posts, a unit under the Ministry of Communications, is closing the online application window for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions at India Post on August 23. Aspiring candidates can apply for this opportunity by visiting the official website and submitting their applications.

For those who have already registered for GDS recruitment in 2023, an application can be directly submitted on the official website. However, new applicants need to complete the initial registration before applying for the position online. The application editing window will be open from August 24 to 26.

As part of this recruitment drive, India Post has advertised a total of 30,041 Gramin Dak Sevak positions. These vacancies are categorized as Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster, and Dak Sevak roles.

Age: To apply for these positions, candidates must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 40 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Educational Background: Applicants with a Class 10 passing certificate, with Mathematics and English as mandatory or optional subjects, are eligible for these positions. Additionally, candidates should have completed at least high school in their native language. Proficiency in computers, cycling, and having a reliable source of income is also required.
