Fans of actor Shah Rukh Khan often make attempts to meet the superstar or catch his glimpse once. From lining outside his Mumbai home to tweeting to him on X (formerly Twitter), they have left no stone unturned to try to speak to their favorite actor.
An old video has now resurfaced on Reddit in which a fan can be seen requesting Akshay Kumar to call Shah Rukh Khan live on a comedy show. Akshay Kumar, Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor, and Jackie Bhagnani were guests on The Kapil Sharma Show hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma. They were interacting with a woman in the audience who turned out to be a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan. When Kapil asked her if she had ever met the superstar, she said that while she had not met Shah Rukh, meeting him was why she came to Mumbai in the first place.

Kapil then told her that Jackie could make her wish come true. She then urged Jackie and Akshay to give a call to Shah Rukh. Akshay then said that he could try to call Shah Rukh and see whether he was available to talk. “Dekh lete hain phone karke, baat karke dekh lete hain agar aa jaata hai phone pe,” Akshay said. However, Shah Rukh’s phone was switched off. She then requested Akshay to call Shah Rukh on a different number. Akshay replied, “Ek aur number hai, purana number hai.”
When Akshay’s attempt did not work out, she requested him to call Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri Khan. Then led to a moment of uproarious laughter on the show. Akshay’s gesture for the fan was appreciated by the audience and people on the internet alike.
On the work front, Akshay recently released the first look of his film Welcome 3 or Welcome To The Jungle. The film features a huge cast including Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Sanjay Dutt, and Arshad Warsi among others. Akshay will also be seen in the film Mission Raniganj with Parineeti Chopra. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on October 6 this year.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently enjoying the success of his blockbuster film Jawan. The Atlee directorial became the highest Hindi opener film very quickly on the first day of its release. The film also features excellent performances by Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone among others.
