TVS Motor Company Launches the Much-Anticipated TVS X Electric Scooter in Dubai
TVS Motor Company has finally launched its much-anticipated electric scooter, the TVS X, in Dubai today. With a starting price of Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and deliveries scheduled to commence in November, the TVS X is set to revolutionize the electric scooter market.
Price and Deliveries
The TVS X electric scooter is priced at Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) and deliveries will start in November. Initially, deliveries will be available only in Bengaluru, but by the end of this year, it will be available in 15 other cities.
Design
The TVS X stands out with its cutting-edge design language, featuring sleek LED headlamps and taillamps that exude a sense of modernity and sophistication. The scooter is based on the XLETON platform and offers a spacious 19-litre utility box for ample storage. With a ground clearance of 175mm and a rider seat height of 770mm, the TVS X offers a well-balanced riding position. The scooter also comes with three riding modes: Xtride, Xtealth, and Xonic.
Features
The TVS X electric scooter boasts an exceptional 10-inch TFT instrument cluster that goes beyond displaying basic information. This multifunctional screen serves as an entertainment hub, allowing users to stream reels, videos, songs, and even play games. The scooter also comes with Hill Hold Control as a standard feature, which prevents it from rolling backward on inclined surfaces, enhancing rider confidence and safety during starts on hills.
Engine Specification
The TVS X electric scooter is powered by an 11 kW motor and a 4.4 kWh battery pack. It can achieve 0-40 kmph in just 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 105 kmph. The battery pack offers an IDV range of 140 km.
Charging Options
The TVS X electric scooter is equipped with both portable and rapid charger options. It comes with a 950W off-board charger and a 3000W wall charger. TVS claims that the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in just 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Chassis
The suspension system of the TVS X electric scooter comprises telescopic forks in the front and a monoshock setup at the rear, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride over various terrains. In terms of brakes, the e-scooter features a 220mm disc upfront and a 195mm disc at the rear, coupled with single-channel ABS.
Color Options
For now, the TVS X electric scooter is offered in a red/silver color option. However, the brand plans to introduce more color options at a later stage.
