Candidates who have finished an undergraduate degree or are currently enrolled in the final year of the undergraduate program are eligible to apply for the IIT JAM 2024 session.
How to Apply for IIT JAM 2024
Follow these step-by-step instructions to successfully submit your application:
- Go to the official website of IIT JAM at jam.iitm.ac.in.
- On the homepage, locate the IIT JAM 2024 registration link.
- Register yourself by entering the basic details about yourself like name, date of birth, etc. and click on submit.
- Log into the account using your credentials.
- Fill in the details in the application. After filling out the application form, review it carefully to ensure all the details entered are correct.
- Upload the necessary documents.
- Pay the application fees using Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or other suitable options. The fee details are as follows:

If you need to make changes to your examination center cities, test papers, category, or gender, there is an additional fee of Rs 300, in addition to any applicable differences in the application fee.
Test Papers for IIT JAM 2024
IIT JAM 2024 will be held for seven subjects, each referred to as a Test Paper. These subjects are:
- Mathematics (MA)
- Biotechnology (BT)
- Economics (EN)
- Chemistry (CY)
- Geology (GG)
- Mathematical Statistics (MS)
- Physics (PH)
It’s important to note that English is the medium of instruction for all test papers.
The exams will take place on February 11 in two shifts:
- Morning Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
