In a bold move to modernize its popular entry-level sportbike, KTM has rolled out a major tech upgrade to the RC 200. Now equipped with a sleek full-color TFT instrument cluster—borrowed from the 250 Duke and 390 Duke—this enhancement puts the RC 200 in line with more premium bikes in its segment.

Full-Color TFT Display and Feature Enhancements

The 2025 KTM RC 200 now sports the same vibrant TFT dashboard seen on its more powerful siblings. This display not only improves visibility but also provides riders with easy access to critical ride data, enhancing the overall user experience.

Alongside the digital upgrade, the RC 200 receives backlit switchgear—another premium touch taken from the 390 Duke. However, riders hoping for cruise control will be disappointed, as that feature remains absent in this model.

Meanwhile, KTM has also introduced a fresh matte grey colorway, increasing the bike’s available paint schemes to three. The new shade offers a more understated, stealthy aesthetic for riders looking to stand out subtly.

Price Hike and Market Position

With the tech improvements come higher costs. KTM has increased the RC 200’s price by ₹12,000, pushing the current ex-showroom tag to ₹2.54 lakh. Since March 2025, that marks a total hike of ₹33,000.

That said, this price point now places the RC 200 well above its closest competitor—the Yamaha R15M. Despite also featuring a TFT display, the R15M produces less power and comes in at around ₹53,000 less than the top-spec RC 200. The KTM still leads in performance with its 199.5cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, offering 25 bhp and 19.2 Nm of torque, paired with a responsive 6-speed gearbox.

What This Means for Riders in 2025

These upgrades make the KTM RC 200 a more tech-forward option for riders seeking a modern, powerful sportbike. With a premium instrument cluster and improved control features, KTM is clearly focusing on delivering value beyond just raw performance.

However, buyers will need to weigh the value of these enhancements against the growing price gap between the RC 200 and alternatives like the Yamaha R15M. For many enthusiasts, the added tech and refined ride experience may justify the cost.
