It’s important to note that students need to score a minimum of 33 per cent marks to clear the exam. However, for those who miss this minimum requirement by a small margin, there’s hope as teachers can provide grace marks of up to 5 per cent. Students failing in all subjects will have to repeat the class.

The Karnataka board had previously declared the result of the 2nd PUC on April 21. Out of the 7.02 lakh students who appeared for the Karnataka PUC 2023 exam, an impressive 5,24,209 students passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 74.67 per cent. When breaking down the pass percentages by gender, girls achieved a pass percentage of 80.25 per cent, while boys had a pass percentage of 69.05 per cent.

The highest pass percentage was observed in the Science stream, standing at an impressive 72.53 per cent. Commerce stream students followed closely with a pass percentage of 64.97 per cent, while the arts stream had a pass percentage of 61.22 per cent, with 134,876 students passing the exam.

Notable achievers in the Karnataka PUC II exam for science, arts, and commerce streams include Ananya, S M Koushik, and Tabassum Shaik, who secured the top positions in their respective categories.

In an important development, the Karnataka government has decided to eliminate the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Pre-University College (PUC) supplementary exams starting from next year. Instead, students will be provided with three chances to appear for the annual board exams, and their highest marks out of the three attempts will be considered as their final result.

This change is expected to bring relief to students by reducing the pressure associated with supplementary exams and offering a fairer evaluation process.

As the Karnataka PUC II Supplementary Result 2023 for Exam 2 has been announced, candidates are encouraged to follow the steps above to access their results promptly. Congratulations to all successful students, and best wishes to those who may need to avail of the grace marks provision. The education landscape in Karnataka is evolving to provide students with a more supportive and accommodating examination system for the future.
