X Glitch Causes Loss of Legacy Photos

X, the popular microblogging platform previously known as Twitter, recently encountered a significant glitch that led to the deletion of all legacy photos posted before December 2014. This technical issue resulted in the frustration of many users who found their cherished images from 2014 and before suddenly disappearing. Even iconic photos, like Ellen DeGeneres’ famous selfie from the Oscars 2014 featuring numerous celebrities, were not spared from this mishap.

The company promptly acknowledged the bug and provided updates through their official support account. According to X’s statement, the bug prevented the display of images from before 2014, but assured users that no images or data were permanently lost. The glitch has been resolved, and X expects the issue to be fully resolved in the coming days.

Changes Under Elon Musk’s Leadership

X corp, under the leadership of Elon Musk, has undergone several changes in recent times. One notable change is the rebranding of the platform from Twitter to X. This rebranding aims to signify a new direction for the microblogging platform.

In addition to the rebranding, X has also made alterations to its verification system. The verification system is now part of X Premium, a subscription-based service that offers enhanced features to users. However, the name of X Premium has gone through multiple iterations, initially being called Twitter Blue before becoming X Blue and ultimately settling on X Premium. These changes have generated mixed reactions among users, with some praising the new features while others criticize the constant name changes.

X has also implemented a revenue-sharing program for eligible creators. As part of this program, Indian accounts that have subscribed to X Premium and have at least 500 followers and 5 million impressions in the last three months have received significant sums of money from their ad revenue share.

Elon Musk, the CEO of X, has voiced his vision of transforming the platform into an all-in-one app. The aim is to expand its capabilities beyond microblogging and include features like job search, video calls, and livestreaming, making it a versatile platform for various online activities.
