WhatsApp Introduces Poll Sharing Feature for Community Announcement Groups
WhatsApp, a popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta, is reportedly releasing the ability to share polls within community announcement groups. With the ability to create polls in the community announcement group, the Meta-owned app offers community admins an additional tool to interact with community members.
The latest WhatsApp beta for Android update, version 2.23.17.22, is rolling out this feature to some beta testers, according to WABetaInfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp.
The feature allows community admins to create polls within the chat share sheet for community announcement groups. To check if the feature is enabled for your account, open the community announcement group where you are an administrator and look for the polls icon.
It is important to note that the feature may only be visible in community announcement groups of a certain size. Additionally, it may be limited to groups with fewer than 1024 participants. Testing across various community announcement groups is recommended to confirm the functionality.
The polls feature is compatible with the phone number privacy option. This means that voting in a poll will not reveal your phone number, as it is hidden by default.
The ability to share polls within community announcement groups is available to some beta testers who have installed the latest updates of WhatsApp beta for Android. It will be rolled out to more users in the coming days.
WhatsApp Introduces AI Stickers
In addition to the poll sharing feature, WhatsApp is also introducing a feature to create and share artificial intelligence (AI) stickers. These stickers aim to enhance the user experience on the platform.
With AI stickers, users will have access to a variety of expressive and engaging stickers. These stickers are created using artificial intelligence technology, which enables them to convey emotions and reactions in a more dynamic and interactive way.
The AI stickers feature is expected to provide users with a fun and creative way to express themselves in conversations. It will add a new element to communication on WhatsApp, allowing users to personalize their chats with unique and vibrant stickers.
Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, continues to innovate and introduce new features to enhance the user experience on its platforms. The introduction of poll sharing and AI stickers demonstrates Meta’s commitment to providing users with engaging and interactive features.
As the rollout of these features progresses, WhatsApp users can look forward to an enhanced messaging experience within their community announcement groups.
