Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Teachers Honored with National Teacher Award 2023
Two dedicated educators from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Mujeeb Rahiman and Chetna Khambate, have been selected to receive the prestigious National Teacher Award 2023. The award ceremony will take place in New Delhi on September 5, 2023, as part of the National Teachers Day celebration, which coincides with the birth anniversary of former Indian President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
About Mujeeb Rahiman

About Chetna Khambate
Chetna Khambate, another recipient of the National Teacher Award, serves as a Post Graduate Teacher (Biology) at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Indore. She has been instrumental in creating an enriching and conducive learning environment for her students. Khambate’s biology lab is a dynamic space equipped with 3D models, teaching aids, charts, and interactive tools, providing an immersive learning experience.
Her efforts have fostered an intense and engaging educational atmosphere, promoting a deeper understanding of biology among her students.
National Teacher Award 2023
On National Teachers Day, 75 distinguished educators from schools across India will be honored with the National Teacher Award 2023. This includes 50 school teachers, 13 from higher education institutions, and 12 from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. President Draupadi Murmu, as per the Union Education Ministry’s announcement, will confer these awards.
Each recipient of the National Teacher Award will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal. Additionally, they will have the unique opportunity to engage in a conversation with the Prime Minister.
The selection process for this esteemed award involved online applications earlier in the year, highlighting the commitment of educators to their craft and their significant contributions to the field of education.
