Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan Surpasses Advance Booking Records

Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan is undeniably one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year. The excitement surrounding this film reached new heights when the makers opened advance bookings across the country on Friday, September 1.

If recent reports are anything to go by, Jawan has achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in total advance bookings in less than 24 hours.

Impressive Advance Booking Figures

The advance booking for Jawan commenced at 10 am on Friday and, as reported by DNA, it quickly gained momentum. By 3 pm on the same day, it had already sold a staggering 1.18 lakh tickets, amounting to a whopping Rs 4 crore in revenue.

By 9 pm, Jawan had managed to sell an impressive 1,24,000 tickets across the three major multiplex chains. In addition, the Tamil version of the film also witnessed significant success, with ticket sales ranging from Rs 15-20 lakh.

This incredible achievement confirms that Jawan has outperformed the total advance booking figures of Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Earlier this year, the latter film had managed to accumulate advance ticket sales worth Rs 3.39 crore.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Record-Breaking Streak

Shah Rukh Khan is no stranger to breaking records when it comes to advance bookings of his films. In January of the same year, SRK’s Pathaan set a remarkable benchmark by earning a staggering Rs 32 crore in advance bookings, making it the highest ever for any Hindi film at that time.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan provided further insight into the overwhelming response to Jawan‘s advance bookings. He stated, “Jawan advance bookings are on fire 🔥. Off to a splendid start after Jawan trailer. Sold 20.26K tickets in the last one hour from BookMyShow portal in India. Jawan is all set to become the 2nd ₹100 crore opener for Shah Rukh Khan after Pathaan. That will make him the first-ever actor to achieve the feat in Bollywood history.”
