Delhi Police Gears Up for G20 Summit with Full Dress Rehearsals
As the G20 Summit approaches, scheduled for September 8th to 10th in the national capital of Delhi, the Delhi Police are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the event’s security and seamless execution. To this end, the Delhi Police will conduct full dress rehearsals on Saturday, September 2, 2023, according to an official notification.
“Full Dress Rehearsals for G-20 Summit shall be held on 2nd September 2023 from 0830 hrs onwards. As part of the rehearsals, caravans will move from different parts of Delhi towards New Delhi District,”
the notification stated.
The rehearsals are scheduled to take place from 8:30 AM to 12 PM, 4:30 PM to 6 PM, and 7 PM to 11 PM on Saturday. In light of this, Delhi Police has advised commuters to utilize the metro service on both Saturday and Sunday to minimize disruptions caused by the rehearsals.
Delhi Police has also issued a traffic advisory to facilitate smooth traffic flow during these rehearsals. Traffic will be restricted at various key points in the city during these times, as listed below:

Delhi Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance and avoid these roads during the specified time slots to minimize disruptions. Motorists traveling between north and south Delhi are recommended to take the following routes on Saturday:

On Sunday, motorists commuting between the north and south corridors can utilize the following routes:

Passengers will be allowed to use private vehicles, auto-rickshaws, and taxis for traveling to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station, and IGI Airport. Importantly, city bus services will not be affected in most parts of the district.
