President Droupadi Murmu Unveils Commemorative Coin Honoring NTR

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the commemorative Rs 100 silver coin featuring the image of the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP founder Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) on August 28. The actor-turned-politician was also the grandfather of Jr NTR. The event was graced by many members of his family, making it a prestigious occasion.

Absence of Jr NTR

Despite the notable attendance of various family members, Jr NTR, often referred to as Tarak, was conspicuously absent from the gathering. While the RRR star has not commented on his absence, reports suggest that a prior commitment compelled him to skip the event. According to Great Andhra, Jr NTR was indeed invited to the grand event but had to forgo the special occasion due to his tight schedule associated with his upcoming film Devera, which features acclaimed actors Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in significant roles.

Kalyan Ram’s Decision

Similarly, another prominent figure in the Nandamuri family, Kalyan Ram, was also reported to be invited to the event. However, he chose not to attend. The reasons behind his decision were not explicitly stated.

Celebrating NTR’s Legacy

The event witnessed the presence of several esteemed individuals, including TD chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu and NTR’s sons and daughters, among them Daggubati Purandeswari. The launch of the commemorative coin marks a significant celebration of NTR’s contributions and influence on Andhra Pradesh’s political and cinematic landscape.
